Song of the Day: Apple Tree

Write about a time you experienced an unexpected/unsightly twist or turn that was hard at the time, but now, from here, actually looks surprisingly balanced, even beautiful. Write about why it was hard then, and what about it carries that balance or beauty for you today?

Journaling Prompt

All the demos of this song in a playlist in the order they were made.

Please please please don't share this stuff around. We put out music for a living, and putting out the *finished* product is, like, really important. Just let us do that without our own shitty demos muddying the waters!

Overgrown-Garden-T-Combo_edited.png

The "Overgrown Garden" Tee is inspired by these apple tree lyrics. Garment design by Juan Pilar :

In truth, it's like the garden of a careless man

unaffected by a mortal hand, yet perfectly tended.

In bloom,

wild flourish of forgotten land,

like Eden couldn’t find a garden hand

when paradise ended.

Soon, while I assumed the harvest compromised,

the brilliant chaos had me so surprised

by the fruits it extended.

Well, time grows strange like an apple tree;

still I toil and I pine, I pine.

Unknown and sung like a melody.

First Look :

We hiked Mt Major in New Hampshire last fall during peek foliage with microphones a couple cameras, and a drone. Our wonderful friends Persistent Productions were the ones crazy enough to join us to shoot the thing! Listen closely when the drone flies in and hear it buzzing!

Y'all're the first peeps we've shown this live take... we sweated our asses off to pull this off... let us know what you think!
